When it comes to getting treatment for addiction and seeking long-term recovery, there are challenges that many people don’t anticipate. For one, they may not even know where to begin. Although there are many treatment centers, it can be difficult to get the help you need. There is also cost to be factored in, as well as the reluctance many people feel to simply acknowledge that they have a problem and need help.
The reality is that getting treatment is a major life change, and even though it’s ultimately a positive one, that doesn’t mean it’s easy. We at Spero Recovery work with you to help make that change as painless as possible.
Most Common Barriers to Addiction Treatment
One of the major things stopping people from getting treatment is the cost. Recovery programs normally cost tens of thousands of dollars, and can even run upwards of six figures. Spero Recovery does not want money to stand in the way of people getting the help they need. Thanks to our robust financial donor program, we can offer one of the lowest-cost, most accessible recovery programs in the country.
Affordability does not mean a sacrifice in quality of care, however. Spero Recovery maintains state-of-the-art facilities and offers a well-rounded program that’s proven to be successful time and again. One of the ways new clients can be sure of that is by speaking with our many alumni who have been through the program themselves. There is always someone willing to speak about their experiences, and many of them return to Spero to teach and lead recovery programs.
For anyone who is down on themselves about the stigma of addiction and wondering if they will ever get out of it, these alumni are living proof that it is possible to live a happy and healthy life in recovery, and that your time and money spent in treatment is well worth it.
In-House Recovery for Men and Women
Spero Recovery’s residential programs are for men and women who have already been through a medical detox and now need support to live a healthy life in long-term recovery. For those who are actively dealing with substance abuse and need to detox first, we are happy to speak with you and refer you to a detox center. Upon completion of a detox program, you will be welcome to apply for our in-house recovery care.
Our programs last at least thirty days and begin with housing in one of our beautiful group homes according to gender, where you can instantly make recovery friends and feel a sense of connection and group support. Our daily schedules consist of plenty of both group and alone time, where you can engage in meditation, counseling, studying, and group activities.
We want to emphasize that this is not a harsh, clinical system, but a warm, comforting space where people want to be. We want you to feel at home here, in a place where you feel loved, supported, and nurtured to become your best self.
12-Step Therapeutic and Experiential Programming
Some features that make Spero Recovery exceptional include our activities programs that encourage you to learn new skills and make new friends, which will factor into your long-term recovery. These include cooking, crafts, woodworking, and hiking in the splendor of the Colorado mountains. We are uniquely situated with access to two mountain summits and sixteen square miles of open space to explore. It’s a nature lover’s paradise!
A pillar of Spero Recovery’s success is our use of The Twelve Steps, which we teach and work with every day in our residential programs. Even when our clients graduate, The Twelve Steps are a powerful tool that assists in maintaining recovery for the rest of their lives. You do not have to be religious to participate in the program—we simply ask that you come with an open mind!
Continuing Recovery
It’s important to understand that recovery is about building a new life. Without this new foundation in place, the tendency to relapse after treatment is very high. This is why Spero Recovery also connects graduates with aftercare Sober Living homes, where people who have successfully completed the program can go on to live in a group setting with others in recovery who are committed to the same lifestyle goals. Of course, these homes are free of substances, and counseling is available to provide support when needed—especially as people seek to become functioning, contributing members of society.
Additionally, clients who successfully complete our programs are more than welcome to return as alumni and lead in peer recovery groups and teachings. This can provide a sense of satisfaction in giving back and being a valuable part of a community.
